This Motobacane looks pretty sweet and is pretty much what I want.

Its light, 24spd, flat bars 700c wheels etc ect.

Only changes I'd make are 700c x 32 tires because I dont want to worry about punctures.

I'm still pretty much broke from buying the new car and christmas and everything else that's been going on the last month so I haven't gotten a chance to do much to the S13. So far just put my old Recaro in it, changed out the head unit, lowered the rear of the car and installed 5mm spacers out back.

I would love to build an old mustang to a period correct Trans-Am racer.

There's something really manly about racing a heavy sledge-hammer of a car that has a motor made entirely of brute force, a 4spd gearbox with a shifter as long as your arm, a suspension that was designed before the revolutionary war, slick tires that offer little in the way of traction and tiny bottle caps for brakes.

You didnt drive these cars with smooth and simple steering inputs and the flicking of your fingers to shift gears, you wrestled them like a you would an attacking bear and hoped that you weren't killed for your troubles.

A good friend of mine Tim Aldrich passed away over the weekend.

Funniest dude I ever met, and helped me out a lot over the years. Really really sad to see him gone. He'll be greatly missed by us all.

So I bought my friend Chris Epsteins white S14.

Lots of neat things, like JDM digital climate control, foamed rockers, working everything, clean interior, nice paint, SPL tie rods, bigger Q45 brakes, Altima rear rotor conversion some other misc things.

In the process of swapping all my parts over to it. Still need to finish the motor rebuild too.

Hopefully it will be pretty much assembled by this weekend.

I've been trying to stay away from working on the car over the last few weeks, and so far its awesome. I have a driving event next week though so I have a lot of work to do this weekend. Gotta replace power steering pump, make a front air duct, attatch splitter and some other aero stuff, re-wire Z32 MAF and probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

Other than the power steering being stupid, the car is doing awesome. 15psi is way fun and a lot faster than I thought it'd be. I've still yet to turn it all the way up to 18psi. Might do that this weekend after I fix everything.

New tire set up - 235-40-17 NT05's front; 255-40-17 NT05's out back. I used to run 255-40 NT05's on all 4 but I got an insane deal on this set so I couldnt pass it up. The front tires are a bit smaller than I'd really like and I need to retune the front suspension to cope with it. The car isnt as balanced as it was before with the bigger tires so I have a bit more understeer than I'd like. Nothing I cant fix with a little adjusting.

Brakes on the car need a serious overhaul but I dont feel like doing it right now. Pads have some life on them still, but they are squeeking like crazy and that bugs the hell out of me. I was going to try out some Carbotech pads but I can't seem to find anyone who carries them so I'll just go with the tried and true HAWK HP's. Not the most amazing pads but they get the job done and work very well on the street.

Car will finally get a bath this weekend as well (its been about 10 months or more!!!) And I'll have some pictures up later this weekend of the splitter and air-duct.

I've had my eye on this team for the last year or so, and its amazing what they've done compared to teams with much higher budgets.

I really wish they had gone out to the World Time Attack Challange in AUZ a few weeks back, but they had to pass on the invitation becasue the car wasnt ready in time. I bet they would of been in the top 3 seeing as how they've been faster than the SSE Evo at most Redline events over the last year or so.

Went Go-Karting on sunday at Tampa Bay GP indoor karting.

Karts are pretty quick.

Finally got the Spherical upright bushings on the car tonight.

Rear suspension has almost 5" of droop which is awesome since I have a Helical diff from an S15.

Car is super smooth driving around now. Its no Cadillac but its not your average 240 with JDM super stiff coil-overs (though I have JDM super stiff coil-overs.)

Combo of spherical everything and 6k/4.5k springs make the car way awesome.

Need to pick up a Progress rear sway bar soon.

Finally did the 20 minute break in this morning. I have a few small problems to figure out (like why an intercooler coupler is collapsing,) but the car isnt leaking any fluids or over heating so thats a good sign. Hopefully I can get everything sorted out tonight and change the oil so I can take it on its first test drive!

So I got the couplers in today. Test fitted the pipes I made last week and everything seems to fit like I hoped.

As you can see it clears the A/C line and condenser on the right, hopefully it does the same on the left. It also clears the bottom of the headlight. I'll trim the headlight pan when I get the intercooler in and can do a final test fit before I weld it all together. Should have a big update this weekend as I'll be doing the final install. Should be running in less than 2 weeks!

I must say that when I first saw pre-production pictures of the new Mclaren I wasnt that impressed with the looks, and frankly I dont much car for the matte black version shown in the video. What does look awesome is a quick glance of a white one in the opening of the clip, that looks miles better. Other than that the car is nothing less than what to expect from a company that has been involved with Formula 1 since 1966. I bet this is going to really put a hurt on the likes of the Gallardo LP570 Supperlaggera and the Ferrari 458 Italia and the less well known but favorite of mine the Noble M600.
